The Parc 55 Hotel is a luxurious modern hotel in the heart of downtown San Francisco near Union Square. Both business and pleasure travelers love its super convenient location.
Arriving at the Parc 55, you enter a luxurious and inviting space. The hotel includes exciting public areas, a variety of restaurants, as well as a coffee shop, cocktail lounge, gift shop, and 24-hour health club.
The hotel staff members are friendly and helpful. Checking in and out is quick and easy, and the staff are more than willing to help out with requests and directions.

Location
The Parc 55 is centrally located in the Union Square district, two blocks from Union Square shopping and theatres. This hotel sits just off Powell Street, the boundary between Union Square East and West.
The following places of interest are all within easy walking distance:
- BART – Fast trains from SFO and Oakland airports—just down the block
- Moscone Convention Center
- Union Square
- Nordstrom, Macy’s, and San Francisco’s best small shops
- Sony Metreon—entertainment & theatres
- San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
- Yerba Buena Gardens
With these area attractions also reasonably close by:
- Chinatown
- Little Italy/North Beach dining and entertainment area
- Pacific Bell Park (Giants)
- Haight Ashbury
- Fisherman's Wharf
- Golden Gate Park
You reach all of these easily via San Francisco’s excellent public transit system. In fact, you’re just steps from its main hub.
Although downtown San Francisco can be crowded with homeless people, we’ve noticed none directly outside the hotel and very few in the immediate area. We’ve felt safe and secure in and around the hotel even at night.
However, we do not recommend that you venture too far west of this hotel.
Transportation
The Parc 55 gives you easy access to San Francisco’s public transport systems.
Area airports and attractions are just minutes away. The BART station is directly adjacent to the hotel, while the Powell Street cable cars and Market Street streetcars and trolleys are just a half-block away.
Due to sparse and expensive parking, bringing a car to the Parc 55 is not recommended. It costs at least $30/night for secure parking. You’ll find that the public transportation and taxis are much more convenient, and less expensive (an all-day pass is under $10).
Hotel amenities
The Parc 55 offers 1,010 newly renovated deluxe guest rooms and 18 suites all with the following amenities:

The guest beds are very comfortable with firm mattresses and thick down pillows.
All guests are treated to daily morning newspaper delivery.

The Parc 55 offers services including valet parking, massage therapy, tour desk, business center, and child-care.
